Difference Between TV and Monitor.

Many of them differentiate TV with Monitors, but why they do so? Can we connect our CPU to TV? Yes, we can connect our CPU to TV using HDMI port provided on the TV. But due to some advantages, many of them use monitors to connect CPUs but not TV. These are explained below: 1)  Refresh Rate:                                                        The refresh rate is defined as the number of frames refreshed per second. It is measured in Hertz (Hz). The refresh rate should be more. The refresh rate of TV is normally 60Hz (60 frames per second) and the refresh rate of Monitor is more than 60Hz which helps it to display more number of frames per second compared to TVs. Nowadays some high-end TVs are coming with high refresh rate but as I mentioned they are very expensive. 2) Response Time:                                                                Response time is defined as the total amount of time taken by CP

Difference between Shut Down, Sleep and Hibernate in Windows.

          a)     Sleep Mode:                                               Sleep mode is useful when you want to store your data (updated or modified) for a short period of time.                                                                            So, Let's see what it is? If you keep your PC/Laptop into sleep mode then the data that you have access until then will be saved in the RAM storage. As we know RAM is a Volatile Memory (Temporary memory) (It retains its data while powered on) the data stored in it will be present until it has some power supply, if there is no power supply then the data is lost from the RAM. So, if you want to keep your PC/Laptop into sleep mode then make sure that PC has a continuous power supply and the laptop is fully charged otherwise you will lose your data which is very precious.                                         You can keep your PC/Laptop into sleep mode if you want to store your data for a short period of time. i.e., until yo

Windows Infamous Folder.

What happens if you delete System32 folder in Windows?                                                      Let's see exactly what is System32 folder and where you can find it. You can find it in  C:\Windows\System32. System32 folder consists of files which are in the form of  Dynamic-link library which has code and data which are accessible or used by Windows and also third party applications. DLL is a Microsoft's implementation of  shared library concept which are accessible to different applications. These dll files enables functionalities  such as Audio and Video playback, Windows update centre, Online video streaming, control panel, DirectX rendering, Encryption  and many more. System32  folder not only consists of dll files but also many .exe files, core Windows files, critical files, Drivers and so forth. Many of these files in System32 can't be deleted simply after you boot-up your system since they have already been loaded into the memory. If you delete these f

Browser Fact.

Does Your Browser History Occupy Your Hard Drive Space?                                                         It’s obvious guys that everything in your system occupies some space in the Hard Drive, but the amount of space occupied by your history is very less (may be in Megabytes) when compared to your size of Hard Drive (may be in Gigabytes). History space depends upon the type of file like whether it is a document or image or search history and so forth. If it is a document or image it occupies more space when compared to your search history. Deleting your history frees up some space but it may not be very useful if you want to store big files in place of history space instead use this space for storing small files. While deleting history please select delete cookies option also even though it helps in faster reloading of web pages . Cookies helps companies and hackers to track you and know your preferences based on your search history. So, if you delete cookies no one can kn

Defragmentation - The Incredible Feature.

Image
What is Defragmentation and what is the use of it? Ø In the maintenance of file systems, defragmentation is a process that reduces the amount of fragmentation. It does this by physically organizing the contents of the mass storage device used to store files into the smallest number of contiguous regions (fragments). It also attempts to create larger regions of free space using compaction to impede the return of fragmentation. Some defragmentation utilities try to keep smaller files within a single directory together, as they are often accessed in sequence . Ø I think many of you haven’t understood, so let’s see actually what it is. Ø When you buy the computer, the hard disk may contain O.S only. Hard disk stores Data in Circular form. So, after filling one layer the data may be stored in another layer. Ø Now you may install some videos, pictures, songs, games, software etc. These files occupy some space in the hard disk. Ø  After sometime you may delete them like you m

CAPTCHA- The Furtive Behind Squiggly Computer Letters.

Image
A CAPTCHA an acronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart". It is a type of challenge response test used in computing to determine whether the user is human or not.                                                             The term was coined in 2003 by Luis von Ahn, Manuel Blum, Nicholas J. Hopper, and John Langford. The most common type of CAPTCHA was first invented in 1997 by two groups working in parallel:  Mark D. Lillibridge, Martin Abadi, Krishna Bharat, and Andrei Z. Broder; and Eran Reshef, Gili Raanan and Eilon Solan. This form of CAPTCHA requires that the user type the letters of a distorted image, sometimes with the addition of an obscured sequence of letters or digits that appears on the screen. Because the test is administered by a computer, in contrast to the standard Turing test that is administered by a human, a CAPTCHA is sometimes described as a reverse Tu

USB IS EVERYWHERE.

What is USB and what are the types and versions of USB?   In almost all electronic devices we can see USB ports. So, basically what is USB. Here we go, USB stands for Universal Serial Bus. The development of USB began in 1994 by 7 eminent companies like IBM, Intel, Microsoft, DEC, NEC, Compaq and Nortel. These companies appointed Ajay Bhatt as the head of the project to develop USB. So, he is the co-inventor of USB. The main objective of this project is to connect peripheral devices like printers, external displays, hard drives, digital cameras and so on to our PC’s(computers). Hence he and his team came up with the invention of USB while working at Intel. By using USB ports on both the devices and the corresponding USB cable we can connect both the devices and hence communicate with each other. Communication means exchange of data among themselves. Hence it is achieved by Wired communication. Versions of USB or The Evolution of USB : Ø   Basically USB version indicates th
